                                      Bio - Ginger Taggart

Ginger Taggart has combined her passion for travel and writing into a lifelong career. She has traveled to more than 55 countries and six continents and has worked in the travel industry for more than 18 years holding executive-level positions with some of the world’s top branded companies including The Walt Disney Company and Coca-Cola. Although raised in Michigan and Florida, she has lived and worked in England, Greece, Eastern Europe and France.


Her interests have led her to free-lance writing with articles appearing in both U.S. and French publications. She has published travel articles ranging from Russia and Greece to Antarctica and Vietnam and been selected for press assignments that have taken her from Paris to Africa on a two-week, press tour safari.

Taggart combines her writing expertise with a strong business background. She has worked for the world’s top two brands and has a solid understanding of the marketing, sales and media fundamentals needed to make any project a success.


An avid lover of travel and international cultures, Taggart was chosen for the prestigious Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship in 2001/2002. Sponsored by the Rotary Foundation as one of 1200 young leaders selected worldwide, she served as an U.S. ambassador conducting speeches abroad and working to break down stereotypes and build greater understanding between nations.

Prior to this scholarship, Taggart worked as a Travel Industry Sales and Marketing Manger for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts (1996-2001). At the Disney Company, she demonstrated her publicity and marketing skills and was selected for the media launch committees for three Disney theme parks: Disney’s Animal Kingdom (Florida), Disney’s California Adventure (California) and the Disney Studios (Paris). In addition, she helped publicize the launch of the Disney Cruise Line and countless attraction, special event and hotel openings. In 2002, she was hired by Coca-Cola for two international marketing consulting projects involving 20 diverse countries. Starting in 2003, she began leading the International Marketing and Sales efforts for Disneyland Resort Paris.

She has served as a company media spokesperson for more than a decade with various travel companies and her travel writing and public relations work has appeared in such travel magazines as Carlson Wagonlit’s Postcards Magazine (where she is an on-going contributor) Travel Weekly, Travel Agent, Jax Fax and Leisure Travel News. In 1998, to gain further insight into the travel industry, Taggart completed Certified Travel Consultant (CTC) training from the Institute of Certified Travel Agents (ICTA).

An experienced public speaker, Taggart has spoken to domestic and international audiences ranging from 20 people to 2000. She also has been a member of Toastmasters International where she competed and placed in regional speaking competitions.

She holds a degree in advertising with high honors and a certificate in travel and tourism from the University of Florida, where she also received presidential recognition for outstanding contribution to the university. She continued her education with an MBA from the University of Bath, England where she graduated with distinction. Taggart received merit scholarships for both her undergraduate and graduate education and was one of her high school’s valedictorians. She currently resides in Paris, France.
